Baseball

What sport do the Japanese people love?

Baseball!!!

I was very fortunate.  I had a chance to go to a Japanese baseball game.  It is their playoffs and only 4 of us out of the group managed to buy tickets.  The home team name is the "Lions," so that's who I cheered for.  They ended up winning 10-3.

These are octopus balls being served as a snack at the game.  A little different then our snacks!

At the end of the 7th inning, fans let go of balloons that fly up into the air.  That's a lot of flying balloons, it was fun.  There is also a lot of chanting and a band playing during the game.  Fans take turns and only cheer when their team is up to bat.

As you can see their are Chicago Cubs fans everywhere!  This man was at the game and when I told him I lived in Chicago he was happy to have me take his picture.  :)
