Elementary Part 2

There was so much cool stuff at the elementary school I didn't get it all in one post.

Nutrition is very important in their school too. There were many posters about food groups and they have a food pyramid too, though it is upside down and has slightly different categories.

Clean up after lunch.

Ingenious way to store the soap, it's never lost!

The teacher workroom. The principal and vice-principal work in the same room, they are shown working in these pictures.

At recess kids are out and about wherever they want. Teachers work in the workroom during this time.

We were a great source of entertainment during our visit. At recess I was mobbed by kids wanting my autograph. I felt like a rock star! I must have signed my name well over a hundred times. At one point I looked up and saw a couple of my colleagues with a line in front of them too. What fun, but I fell bad for celebrities wrists, all that signing wears you out!

They even sweep up the outside of the school, though we continued to be a distraction!

In math class they learn to group and add to tens just like we do!

I learned to count in Japanese so I was able to help this little girl with her math assignment.

Clapping games are popular at recess.

The unicycles in action.
