Fukutsu

In Fukutsu City our hotel was a distance away from everything so we traveled by bus everywhere.
We visited a park filled with fields of flowers.  This is my friend Gary in the sunflowers.
I'm not sure what type of flowers the majority of the park was made of.  Maybe one of my adept readers can help me out.  I know their are some horticulturists out there!

The mayor of the city, plus members of the Board of Education welcomed us to the city.

Our guide, Tomokoson, treated us to a local delicacy, the mask cookie.  It represents the comedic theatre found only in the Fukutsu/Fukuoka area.

This is the view from my hotel room.

Hello Kitty is huge all around Japan.  Our hotel had specialty rooms that were huge treats for fans.  There was Hello Kitty paraphenalia throughout the hotel.
Sunset on our arrival.
