Hasedera: The final Kamakura Day Stop

Hasedera houses a statue of the goddess of Mercy.  She is nine meters high and has 11 faces (one main face).  The faces are to allow her to look for instances when she is able to spread her infinite compassion.  No photos are allowed inside her temple.  However, I have shots along the path on the way to her temple.

Small statues (Jizo) line the paths.  They are there to help departed children on their journey.

The incense smoke area for health can be found at most shrines.
This temple is on top of a large hill.  You can look out over the town and ocean.

Wishing boards are also at every temple.  You write your wish and tie it up, as you can see they are written in all languages.  I thought this wish, mixed in with more serious ones, was funny and direct!
